WASHINGTON –
Brad McCreedy of The Hanover Insurance Group had been named Chair of The PIA Partnership, a joint effort of leading insurance carriers and the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA).

PIA and the companies belonging to The PIA Partnership work together to develop hands-on tools for independent insurance agents to achieve greater success.

McCreedy joined The Hanover in 2018 as the vice president of personal lines strategy. He leads strategy, agency engagement and the project management office for The Hanover’s  preferred account auto and home business. In addition, he leads Educators Insurance Agency, The Hanover’s wholly owned independent insurance agency.

“The PIA Partnership and the members of PIA will benefit greatly from Brad’s talent, expertise and dedication to the success of independent insurance agents,” said Dana Anaman, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PIA.

“Independent agents are at the heart of our business at The Hanover,” said McCreedy. “Our partnership with PIA helps us collaborate and engage with some of the best agents across the country. I am excited to chair this important initiative and look forward to working with my peers to drive excellence in our industry.”

Brad began his career as an active-duty nuclear submarine officer aboard USS Columbus, a fast-attack submarine based in Pearl Harbor, HI. He earned a bachelor’s degree in quantitative economics from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree focused on strategy and finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He holds the CPCU designation and is a licensed property and casualty producer in all 50 states.

Founded in 1931, PIA is a national trade association that represents member insurance agents and their employees who sell and service all kinds of insurance but specialize in coverage of automobiles, homes, and businesses. PIA’s web address is http://pianational.org
