PIA has partnered with the Hilda Tucker Insurance School to offer the 4-hr mandatory law and ethics course to insurance agents as an online webinar.


This course meets the 4-hour law and ethics requirement for those holding a 2-20, 20-44, 4-40, 4-42, 2-33 license.  For those holding other license types this course will count towards the "Elective" credits. Topics discussed in this course are such as recent laws relating to insurance, ethics, suitability of sales, unauthorized entities, and much more.

About the Instructor:
Anthony "Tony" Becerra, a native Floridian, boasts a diverse professional journey encompassing the automotive and insurance industries. Starting in the car business, he transitioned to insurance in 1998, initially with New York Life then Aflac, and finally he opened an independent agency. In 2007, he embraced the opportunity to work with the Hilda Tucker Insurance School in Orlando, specializing in pre-licensing and continuing education classes. Anthony's engaging teaching style has empowered countless individuals to obtain and maintain their Florida insurance licenses.
His passion for teaching dates back to the 90s, discovered during his early career in the car business. Beyond education, Anthony co-owns and manages two insurance agencies with his wife and sister, primarily focusing on health insurance. This dual commitment showcases Anthony's multifaceted expertise and dedication to positively impacting both professional and personal spheres.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

This course is currently verified and approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services for four (4) continuing education hours.

Periodic learning checks will be conducted to measure attendee engagement. Learning checks must be completed by each registered attendee to earn continuing education credit. Only registered attendees are eligible to receive continuing education credits. No exam is required.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • IMPORTANT! Per Florida Administrative Rule 69B-228.100 (2)(a) Attendance of the entire course is required for certification. Late students are considered a "No Show" and will forfeit tuition. 
  • If you fail to attend or complete the webinar, registration fee is forfeited; No Exceptions.
  • All cancellations must be in writing, e-mailed to Dana Anaman at danaman@pianational.org.
  • There is no penalty for substitutions from your company or agency.
    All credit card refunds will incur a $2 processing fee.
  • If more than five business days prior to program: Cancellations/transfers are fully refundable.
  • If less than five business days: Cancellations/transfers incur fees of $60 for online CIC programs, $10 for general education classes, and $15 for online CISR or CPIA programs.
