This critical program ensures that your voice will be heard in Bismarck. 

The Political Process Matters

North Dakota AGPAC supports candidates for state office and elected state officials who support the independent insurance agency system—period. Contributions to PIA ND AGPAC enable PIA of North Dakota to support candidates running for office and elected state officials who are pro-business and pro-independent agents. Advocacy is about educating policymakers on the issues. Before voting or taking a position on legislation, representatives need to hear the position of PIA of North Dakota and our independent agents.

Building and maintaining relationships is an essential part of these advocacy efforts. Understanding the independent insurance agency system is the first step to supporting and expanding our industry. Staying silent on the issues important to independent agents is not an option.

The PIA of North Dakota Board of Directors asks for each agency to contribute a minimum of $50 annually to the program. However, participation is voluntary, and you may elect not to contribute, just as you may also decide to increase your contribution. Remember, your membership in AGPAC goes a long way toward providing insurance agents a strong voice in the legislative and regulatory arenas.
